Crafting Memories, One Piece at a Time
Meet Amy — The Heart Behind Nor’East Crafts
Nor’East Crafts began with a homeschooling mother of five, a sketchbook full of ideas, and a deep love for creating meaningful art. What started as handmade gifts for birthdays and baby showers soon grew into ribbon‑winning craft fair pieces and, eventually, a small creative studio rooted in Litchfield, Maine.
Amy has always believed that art should do more than decorate a space — it should capture a moment, spark imagination, and become something worth remembering. Every piece she creates begins as a hand‑drawn design, crafted with care, intention, and a genuine desire to bring joy to the person who receives it. She pours herself into her work, often spending far more time than she should simply because she wants each piece to feel right.
What We Create
Nor’East Crafts started with CO₂‑burned and engraved wood art — hand‑painted jewelry, custom pendants, game pieces, cribbage boards, card holders, and other keepsakes that blend craftsmanship with personality. As our studio grew, so did our capabilities. We expanded into sublimation and, most recently, DTF printing, allowing us to offer vibrant, durable designs while still keeping everything rooted in original artwork.
Even our digitally printed pieces begin the same way: with Amy drawing each design by hand in Procreate. Nothing here is mass‑produced or pulled from a template. Every item is uniquely crafted, and personalization is woven into nearly everything we make.
A Family Effort
While Amy is the artist and creative force, Nor’East Crafts is very much a family endeavor. Behind the scenes, her husband keeps the gears turning — handling the business operations, building the website, managing the technical side, designing stationery, and offering the kind of support that lets Amy focus on what she loves most: creating.
He’s also the one who invests in the tools, software, and equipment that help bring Amy’s ideas to life — not just as a business decision, but as a way of saying, I believe in your vision.
Together, we balance homeschooling five children, full‑time work, and two small businesses. Nor’East Crafts isn’t a factory or a faceless brand. It’s a labor of love, built in the margins of busy days and fueled by creativity, family, and purpose.
Why We Do What We Do
Our Philosophy
At the heart of Nor’East Crafts is a simple belief:
Art becomes meaningful when it becomes personal.
Our Mission
To craft heartfelt, hand‑designed pieces that spark imagination, celebrate life’s moments, and become lasting memories for the people who receive them.
Amy’s hope is to create pieces that resonate — gifts that capture memories, celebrate milestones, and inspire others to see the beauty in their own creativity. Whether it’s a custom‑engraved keepsake, a hand‑painted piece of jewelry, or a personalized print, every item is made with the intention of being cherished.
Our Core Beliefs
Art should feel personal. Every piece begins with intention and ends with meaning.
Creativity is a gift worth sharing. We design everything from scratch so each item feels truly unique.
Small businesses should feel human. We’re a family, not a factory — and we want our customers to feel that warmth.
Memories matter. The best gifts are the ones that last long after the moment has passed.
